POSITION PURPOSE: The ROYAL CANIN® Technical Services Manager is responsible for directing the activities of customer care for Royal Canin USA and for the management of the Technical Services team consisting of 6 Veterinary Technicians. This position focuses on providing a best in class service experience for our customers, including veterinarians, breeders, retailers and pet owners.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the Technical Services team to meet service experience goals as measured by key call center metrics (Ready, Answered, Logged). Analyze call center data and customer feedback to measure, benchmark and improve the service experience. Acts as liaison with Global Customer Care group for local implementation of corporate initiatives. Responsible for maintaining an advanced level of nutritional proficiency in order to perform job requirements in accordance with company policy. Perform product training and provide developmental support to Technical Services associates to maintain technical proficiency. Handle escalated nutritional recommendations, respond to veterinary consult requests, and act as the primary point of contact for customers with sensitive cases. Review all medical complaints that have pet health ramifications and consult with treating doctor to collect and analyze records. Acts as liaison with QA (plants servicing the US market - Rolla, North Sioux City and Guelph) to resolve product complaints and draft appropriate communications to customers. Acts as liaison with Global QSP group for analysis and reporting of call center complaint data. Other responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Required - DVM required. 3 to 5 years of clinic management. Superior oral, written and presentation skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences – breeders, retailers, pet owners, veterinarians. Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs. Outgoing personality with ability to work effectively in an open office environment. Highly Desirable - Experience working in the pet food and/or health industry.

The Wildlife Rescue Center is seeking an experienced veterinarian for a part time position at a wildlife rehabilitation facility treating native Missouri small mammals, waterfowl, game birds, reptiles and amphibians. Commitment is four to eight hours per week and scheduling is flexible. Duties include: Working collaboratively with the Rehabilitation Manager to evaluate current practices and update medical and husbandry protocols; training animal care staff and volunteers on updated protocols; diagnosing injuries and illnesses, performing medical and surgical procedures and administering appropriate treatment to injured and orphaned wildlife; performing euthanasia and necropsy as needed; maintaining good relations with other centers and institutions.
